Mijn tweede blog

Tw. Avalon`s blog:

This is my creative blog. First embroidery and knitting, now it`s all crochet. The little stories I wrote and write about my youth, family and all other things I want to write about are on my other blog called "Avalon". [see link above]. I am sorry these are just in Dutch, but if you are very curious just try Google translate.
According to this blog, it`s impossible to translate all the stories about my work. But I try to start translating the patterns. You can find the translations under the label "english pattern" . Up till now there are just seven, but I try to make more in the future.

Toppie !!

Cal "Princess Mandala"

I was not happy with the seize of the blanket, so I added two extra rows to the circles [one dc-row and one sc-row between the finished model and row 12] and instead of 25 circles [5x5] I made 35 [7x5]. Now the blanket will be 1.30m x 1.80m, not completely what I wanted, but it`s the best I could do. It was very difficult. The amount of stitches of the finished circles had changed and I could not follow the pattern anymore. After a lot of calculating this is the result so far. Of course I am not completely out of the woods, as the sides must be finished too. That will be counting again.

At last... my stack of red wool is shrinking very fast. Buying more could be difficult, being very cheap wool from an discounter. I just bought the last two very poor balls and I know that buying this cheap wool is a gamble, as it will be gone and not coming again. Mixing it with other brands is is not my favorite, but we will see. Another thing of these cheap wool is that the amount of colours is limited and not matching. So this colourful blanket even got the attention of my daughter being so  "un-me"
