Met een knipoogje naar Melinda Miller
en eenvleugje African Flower, maakte ik de
AFRICAN CIRCLE SQUARE. De foto is van het eerste proefexemplaar. Zodra ik een mooiere heb zet ik die erbij. Het patroon is in het nederlands en engels.
Algemeen:
De haakwijze aan het begin- en einde
van de toer is als volgt:
Aan het begin van de toer 3 lossen voor
1 stokje, 2 lossen voor een half stokje of voor 1 vaste 1 losse.
Aan het eind van de toer een halve
vaste in de 3e losse [voor een stokje], in de 2e losse [voor een half
stokje] of in de 1e losse [voor een
vaste] .Bij een kleurwissel altijd de oude draad afbreken en de
nieuwe toer op de aangegeven plaats
[zoveel mogelijk in de hoek] met de nieuwe kleur starten. Is er
geen kleurwissel, dan met halve vasten
naar een plaats haken waar gestart kan worden. Het aantal halve
vasten moet wel zo weinig mogelijk
zijn, want het geheel wordt er anders niet mooier op.
V-steken:
v-stokje =[1 stokje, 1 losse, 1 stokje
in dezelfde steek]. Zo ook een v-vaste [1 vaste, 1 losse, 1 vaste in
dezelfde steek], of een v-halfstokje [1 half stokje, 1 losse, 1 half
stokje in dezelfde steek].
toer 1. [blauw] 16 stokjes in een
magische ring
toer 2. [wit] 8x v-stokje tussen de
stokjes [2 stokjes ertussen].
toer 3. [oranje] 8x [2 stokjes, 1
losse, 2 stokjes] om de 1-losseboog
toer 4. [oranje] 8x [7 stokjes om de
2-lossenboog]
toer 5. [wit] 7x halve stokje op
stokjes van de de bloemblaadjes, na het 7e stokje [tussen de
bloemblaadjes] een dieper ingestoken stokje. [zie foto].
toer 6. [bruin] Begin in het dieper ingestoken stokje van de vorige toer, met 1 v-stokje,
2 stokjes overslaan, 1 v-half stokje,
2 stokjes overslaan, 1x v-vaste,
2 stokjes overslaan, 1 v-halfstokje
2 stokjes overslaan, dan weer 1
v-stokje in de ruimte voor het dieper ingestoken stokje. Haak de toer
zo rond.
toer 7. [bruin] In alle v-steken van de
vorige toer een v-stokje.
toer 8. [oranje] Begin de hoek in een
v-stokje boven een v-stokje uit toer 6, [3 dubbele stokjes, 1 losse,
3 dubbele stokjes]
tussen de hoeken:
1 v-stokje in de volgende v-steek,
1 v-halfstokje in de volgende v-steek,
3 v-vasten in de volgende 3 v-steken,
1 v-halfstokje in de volgende v-steek,
1 v-stokje in het volgende v-steek, en
dan komt de volgende hoek.
toer 9. [oranje] Hoek: [3 dubbele
stokjes, 2 lossen, 3 dubbele stokjes],
verder van hoek tot hoek: 2 dubbele
stokjes overslaan, 1 v-stokje,
2x v-stokjes in de volgende 2 v-steken,
3x v-halve stokjes in de volgende 3
v-steken,
2x v-stokjes in de volgende 2 v-steken,
2 stokjes voor de hoek het laatste
v-stokje en weer de hoek.
toer 10. [wit] Hoek: [2 stokjes , 2
lossen, 2 stokjes]
v-stokjes in alle v-steken, en
v-stokjes tussen 2 stokjes vanaf de hoek.
toer 11. [bruin] Hoek: [2 stokjes, 2
lossen, 2 stokjes].
v-stokjes in alle v-stokjes en tussen
de 2 stokjes voor en na de hoek.
toer 12. [bruin] Hoek: [2 stokjes , 2
lossen, 2 stokjes]
1 stokje tussen de v-stokjes,
1 stokje in de v-stokjes
en 1 stokje tussen de twee stokjes voor
en na de hoek.
Met toer 11 herhalen kan je het
vierkant nog groter haken. Toer 12 is dan de afsluiting.
AFRICAN CIRCLE SQUARE-2
Dit tweede vierkant is tot toer 10
hetzelfde als de eerste. Daarna is het patroon als volgt:
toer 10: [geel] Hoek: 2 st, 3 lossen, 2
st]
In elke v-steek 2 stokjes, 1 losse
toer 11+12: [wit+oranje] als toer 10
alleen de stokjes haken tussen de 2-stokjesclusters [ipv in de
v-steken]

With
a nod to Melinda Miller and a whiff of the African Flower, I made
the
AFRICAN CIRCLE SQUARE
NOTES:
1--
I used the American crochet terms.
2--
I used my colourschedule in this pattern, but go if please and play
with the colours [much more fun].
3--
At the beginning of the round make ch 3 for the first dc, ch 2 for
the first hdc and ch 1 for the first sc.
4--
At the end of the round make a slst in the 3rd ch [dc] or 2nd [hdc]
or 1st [sc].
5--
Colourchange: cut off thread and start the new colour as indicated.
If
not indicated try to start in the corner.
6--
I don`t mention these actions anymore in the pattern.

Aside
from the normal stitches I used V-stitches. These are:
v-sc
[1 sc, ch-1, 1 sc in the same stitch], v-hdc [1 hdc, ch-1, 1 hdc in
the same stitch] and v-dc [1 dc, ch-1, 1 dc in the same stitch].

This
second square is the same till round 10. Then the patterns is as

In
every v-stitch 2 dc, ch1,
round 11+12: [white+orange] as rnd 10,
but make the dc`s between the 2-dc-clusters.
