I forgot two granny squares in de the "Welsh Rose series. So again back to Wales and june 2013 from where I designed these squares and brought them home. See the translation after the dutch description.
WELSH
ROSE IN A CIRCLE
De eerste vier toeren zijn hetzelfde als de Welsh Rose, maar ik was niet echt tevreden omdat het [in mijn geval rode] vastenrandje om de bloem heen niet zo best meer te zien was na het haken van toer 5. Zoals meestal blijft die ontevredenheid in mijn hoofd rondspoken en uiteindelijk heb ik een nieuwe roos gehaakt waarmee ik opnieuw ben gaan experimenteren om die rand wat beter zichtbaar te maken. Ook vond ik de eerste granny een beetje klein, dus kon ik daar meteen iets aan doen, want met het oog op een bijdrage voor het "granny groepsprojekt" moest het vierkant echt wat groter. Ik heb voor het gemak in het patroon weer de kleurverdeling aangehouden van de granny op de foto, maar het is natuurlijk zeker zo leuk zelf met kleuren te gaan spelen.
De
haakwijze aan het begin- en einde van de toer is als volgt:
Aan
het begin van de toer 3 lossen voor 1 stokje, 2 lossen voor een half
stokje of 1 losse voor 1 vaste. Aan het eind van de toer een halve
vaste in de 3e losse [voor een stokje], in de 2e losse [voor een half
stokje] of in de 1e losse [voor een vaste] .Bij een kleurwissel
altijd de oude draad afbreken en de nieuwe toer op de aangegeven
plaats [zoveel mogelijk in de hoek] met de nieuwe kleur starten. Is
er geen kleurwissel, dan met halve vasten naar een plaats haken waar
gestart kan worden. Het aantal halve vasten moet wel zo weinig
mogelijk zijn, want het geheel wordt er anders niet mooier op. Deze
handelingen vermeld ik niet meer in het patroon.

tussen de 6-stokjesgroepen uit. Haak nu 1 stokje wat je insteekt om
het middelste stokje van het groepje van 3 van toer 2. [zie ook de
foto], Sla het 1e stokje van de volgende 6-stokjesgroep over en haak
weer 5 vasten en 1 dieper ingestoken stokje. Haak zo de toer uit.

zo door tot het eind van de toer.

WELSH
ROSE IN A CIRCLE
As
I wanted a bigger square and a wider edge around the flower I started
working again on my Welsh rose model. The
first four rows are the same as in the first model but after that it
changes completely.
NOTES:
1--
I used the American crochet terms.
2--
I used my colourschedule in this pattern, but go if please and play
with the colours [much more fun].
3--
At the beginning of the round make ch 3 for the first dc, ch 2 for
the first hdc and ch 1 for the first sc.
4--
At the end of the round make a slst in the 3rd ch [dc] or 2nd [hdc]
or 1st [sc].
5--
Colourchange: cut off thread and start the new colour as indicated.
If not indicated try to start in the corner. If there is no
colourchange and the new round starts close by go with slstitches to
the place where you can start easily.
6--
I do not indicate these actions in the pattern anymore.

deeper and it`s the brown one [see photo] which separates the two
white petals. Skip the first dc of the next 6dc-group and make 5 sc
on the next five of the 6 dc-group. Then a deeper dc. Do this till
the end of the round.
That
was the hardest part of the work. Also for me to translate :-)

Na
de originele Welsh rose en de Welsh rose in a circle, is dit de derde
granny in mijn Welsh Rose serie.
Ik
heb voor het gemak in het patroon de kleurverdeling aangehouden van
de granny op de foto, maar het is natuurlijk zeker zo leuk zelf met
kleuren te gaan spelen.
De
haakwijze aan het begin- en einde van de toer is als volgt:
Aan
het begin van de toer 3 lossen voor 1 stokje, 2 lossen voor een half
stokje of 1 losse voor 1 vaste. Aan het eind van de toer een halve
vaste in de 3e losse [voor een stokje], in de 2e losse [voor een half
stokje] of in de 1e losse [voor een vaste] .Bij een kleurwissel

ingestoken stokje], 2 halve stokjes, en nu weer [2 stokjes, 2 lossen,
2 stokjes = de volgende hoek]. Uiteindelijk vormt deze toer het
vierkant.

Halve
vasten naar de hoek. Om de 2-lossenboog van de hoek 2 stokjes, 2
lossen, 2 stokjes. Tussen de hoeken haak je als volgt: *1 losse, 1
steek overslaan, 2x 1 stokje op 1 stokje*, tussen * * nog 4x
herhalen, 1 losse en dan de volgende hoek. Zo de toer uithaken.

Begin
in de hoek, 2 stokjes, 2 lossen, 2 stokjes. Daarna *2 lossen, 3
samengehaakte stokjes tussen de 2-stokjesgroep*. [Voor samengehaakte
stokjes zie intro] . Tussen de * * 5x herhalen. Dan nog 2 lossen en
dan komt de volgende hoek.

Halve
vasten naar de hoek. Om de 2-lossenboog van de hoek 2 stokjes, 2
lossen, 2 stokjes. 1 stokje overslaan, 1 stokje op 1 stokje. 7x 3
stokjes om de 2-lossenbogen van de vorige toer, 1 steek overslaan, 1
stokje op 1 stokje en dan de volgende hoek.
